Creating, Growing & Selling Your Intellectual Property

Whether you’re writing your first novel, developing a screenplay, crafting a memoir, or building a series with franchise potential, understanding intellectual property has become one of the most important skills a modern writer can possess. In this engaging presentation, Laura Malin explores what IP really means in today’s entertainment and publishing landscape, how to strategically build an “IP pipeline” from a single story, and the essential roadmap for adapting projects from page to screen. She’ll also reveal how writers can effectively position their work by selecting the right comparables and creating the professional materials needed to successfully shop a project--offering practical, real-world insight for writers of every genre and at every stage of their career.
