Bio

Matt Witten is an acclaimed television writer, novelist, playwright, and screenwriter whose work spans some of television's most successful series, including House, Law & Order, Pretty Little Liars, CSI: Miami, Medium, JAG, Homicide, Judging Amy, The Glades, and Women's Murder Club. Over a career spanning more than two decades, his television writing has earned nominations for both Emmy and Edgar Awards, and he has developed pilots for major networks including ABC, CW, MTV, Freeform, and TNT.

In addition to his television success, Matt is the author of multiple acclaimed mystery and thriller novels, including Breakfast at Madeline's, which won the Malice Domestic Award for Best First Novel. His recent thriller, The Necklace, was published by Oceanview Publishing and optioned for film by Appian Way and Cartel Pictures, with Leonardo DiCaprio attached as producer. A produced playwright whose works have been staged internationally, Matt has also written for national magazines and the feature film Drones. His newest work continues to bridge the worlds of publishing, television, and film, making him a sought-after voice on storytelling, adaptation, and the business of writing.
