ABOUT ALEXANDER

I am the son of Soviet dissidents and came to the US from Odessa, Ukraine on a refugee visa without knowing any English.

Fortunately, I was able to overcome the language barrier and earn my undergraduate and Doctorate degrees in the US. Subsequently, I was awarded a scholarship to Oxford University, where I completed my post-doctoral studies.

Passionate about history and storytelling, I have traveled to 6 of 7 continents and lectured in 9 countries. I am antique arms and armor enthusiast and have extensive knowledge of vintage small arms.

In contrast to being a well-published scientific writer, I am a relatively new fiction writer.

I write action-adventure thrillers similar to Tom Clancy's works. Two of my novels, based on actual historical events, were published by two different independent publishers. I recently completed a third novel, which is ready for publication, and have started the fourth one.

I always loved movies. Consequently, I have written screenplays based on one of my published novels.
